Operation Gratitude, Van Nuys, Ca

At the tail end of the biggest rain in a long while in California we had a ceremony and escort to the site location for setup Thursday morning which is promised to be under sunshine and warm weather. Stan Chambers, renowned newscaster was the Grand Marshall for the event.
Afterward many who took part and anyone else who chose to come went for fund raising dinner at a wonderful Italian restaurant.

If you are not familiar with Operation Gratitude please check out their amazing operation which is totally volunteer and they are getting their holiday drive in place to mail 60,000 packages by name to our troops in harm's way. This holiday season the number of care packages will go over the 500,000 dollar mark. Each package costs 11.00 to mail to our men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan so donations are always welcome and on their website are other ways to help with this worthwhile project.
